Therapy for healing, growth, & belonging
Do you (or your child) feel like you don’t quite fit in? Like you’re never enough? Maybe you’ve been told you’re too sensitive or that you worry too much. Maybe you’re a transplant, a child of immigrants, or another type of cultural chameleon. Maybe you feel like an outsider and your heart aches to be understood. If any of this resonates -exhale- you’re in the right place.
First Generation Mental Health is a client-centered therapy practice with a wholistic approach to healing and growth. Dr. Shwayder provides a queer affirming space where diverse identities, backgrounds, and experiences are seen and respected. Youth
All ages are welcome. Those with concerns about clinginess, anxiety, high sensitivity, and/or social isolation are especially encouraged to connect. Your child will be invited to play, create, and communicate at their own pace. You will be supported at each step. Child-focused sessions and family sessions are available.
